My name is Nico Pineda, I'm a third year student at Durham College studying Architectural Technology.
I've been inspired by architecture across the world, with an interest in both modern and sustainable design. I love incorporating nature in my designs, putting comfort, functionality, and creating a healing space for all to enjoy.
My grandmother was a paraplegic, losing her leg in an accident long ago, but one of the things my family and I have encountered was finding accessible places for her to enjoy. I want to create places where no matter the disability, or quality of life you may face, you can still enjoy the space with everyone else.
Exploring cities such as Montréal, Québec City, New York, Mexico City, and Toronto; I've been able to appreciate the great history behind the legacies left behind by other architects. Architecture is always evolving, as we adapt to the ever changing world around us.
I'm excited to work hard in the industry to make connections, work on projects, creating a better environment and world for everyone.
